adult + teen watercolor class
In this class I teach basic watercolor painting techniques. Along the way, we will also learn about how to mix colors, color theory, composition, and other art concepts. Each class we will create a small painting to practice a specific technique or two. This class is perfect for beginners, but if you already have watercolor experience, you are also welcome to come practice your skills or just have painting time. Join as many classes as you like, though each class also stands on its own. For adults and teens 13+.

adult drawing class
For those interested in learning how to draw, or improve the drawing skills you already have, join my weekly class during lunchtime. Each class we will do a short exercise to help you learn or practice a specific drawing skill. Held every Tuesday on the OIST campus. This class is all analog–using just pencils and paper. We will learn things such as sketching, how to see shapes like an artist, how to adapt what you see onto your paper, shading, perspective, how to turn off the part of your brain that says “I’m not good at drawing,” and more. This class is ongoing, building on skills week to week.
